Application Instructions

If you experience tingling, dryness or sensitivity while using this product, it does not always mean the formula is too strong. In many cases, it is linked to the condition of the skin barrier and the other products being used alongside it.
When the skin barrier is weakened, dehydrated or over-exposed to actives (including retinol, AHAs, BHAs, Vitamin C, exfoliators, scrubs, dermaplaning or hair removal), even gentle brightening ingredients such as Kojic Acid may feel more intense than expected.

To ensure safe and effective use, please always:
• Do an allergy patch test first.
• Then follow with a cleanser patch test for 3 days before full application.
• Introduce gradually. Less is more when using brightening actives.
• Do not combine with other strong active ingredients until tolerance has been built.
If sensitivity occurs, pause usage and complete a 10–14 day barrier reset before reintroducing the product.

Most reactions are due to barrier weakness rather than the product itself. Once the skin is nourished, hydrated and repaired, it often tolerates (and benefits from) Kojic Acid much better.

A healthy barrier = better results, brighter skin and minimal irritation.

For optimal and meaningful results, we recommend consistent use for a minimum of 18 weeks. This timeframe aligns with multiple skin-cell turnover cycles, allowing the skin barrier to stabilise, inflammation to reduce and pigmentation, texture and overall skin function to improve progressively rather than superficially.
